Paul Jackson - Comments on Spring Show

by Blog Administrator on 05/26/12

Paul Jackson's statement regarding the 2012 Member's Spring Exhibition, was read at the reception.
" The level of creativity is above average. I look for transparency, subtlety and luminosity above and beyond technical skills that makes my eye want to stay in the painting and travel through it. It was especially tough choice between the top 2 awards I have chosen. Everyone in the exhibition creativity that captured the quality and effectiveness of the light effects I was looking for.
You are all to be congratulated."

Spring Show Thank You

by Blog Administrator on 05/20/12

It wouldn't and couldn't have been done without the help of the members of this exhibition committee:

Eugenia Horstman for designing and printing of the Prospectus and Catalog.
Nancy McKinney for soliciting the Merchants, awards are exceptionally good.
Sandy Beck for coordinating the submissions of artwork and notification letters.
Heather Molans, what magnificent publicity for NAWS... Thank you.
Take-in duties performed extremely well by Jane Kempe, Scotti Ruhlman, Rae Brown, Linda Kahn, Wayne St John, and Suzi Ludvigson. Taylor Hellmann doing an outstanding job of hanging the show and with Wayne St. John adjusting the lighting on the artwork. Jane Kempe for typing the 50 ID labels for the paintings. Susan Ludvigson getting the calendar filled with the artists sitting the gallery, and always there with a helping hand wherever needed. Thank you so much. Plaques for the artwork were done by Linda Kahn, Jane Kempe and Eva Vaitkus.  Carolyn Carsula for designing and printing of NAWS Certificates of Awards. Heather and James Molans are greatly appreciated for taking care of the reception table at the last minute and extremely well done. Thank you so much.

I'm grateful to all of you for working on this committee, helping to make another NAWS Exhibition successful.

Sincerely,
Eva Vaitkus, Exhibition Chair
