The Northern Arizona Watercolor Society (NAWS) has a number of critique groups, made up of watercolor artists who meet on a regular basis, usually once a month, for the purpose of showing and discussing their work. Critique meetings can be invaluable as an aid to personal growth, increased knowledge, positive reinforcement and objective opinions from the perspective and experience of other artists. To benefit from a critique group it is important for each artist to be willing to show one’s work, have a positive attitude, be open to comment and criticism and freely contribute to the meetings.
Current NAWS Critique Groups are as follows, with the general area as to where their meetings are held:
High Country – Flagstaff Cottonwood – Cottonwood/ClarkdaleElote – Cornville Uptown Artistocrats – Sedona Camp Verde – Camp Verde/Rimrock Aquarelles – Sedona Throughout the year, these critique groups show their artwork at the NAWS General Meetings.
