Everyday I learn something new and wonderful about Art.
I am able to capture a thought or inspiration of some image I
have felt or seen. The act of trying to put that on paper is what
keeps me in the studio. Just the act of creating keeps me looking
at the world in a new and fresh way, either in my own backyard
or some of the travels I have been able to do in the last few
years.
My husband I moved to the Verde Valle
six years ago, having lived in California, Colorado and Florida
and two adventurous years living full time in a motor home. I
started my artistic career with a workshop at the Sedona Art Center
with Bev Kephart. That hooked me! I followed up with classes both
at Yavapai College and several workshops sponsored by SAC and
the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society. I am slowly finding my
own voice and style. In addition to the many classes, I have been
encouraged and helped and prodded by my artists friends at NAWS.
I often show work at the Cottonwood
Library thru El Valle Artists Association and currently can be
seen at Moon Shadow Gallery and Gifts in Old Town Cottonwood.
